Ten Things To Know Before Changing a Toddlers Diaper

| 1. | First you have to actually catch the toddler. Whoever said walk before you run didn't have a 13 month old. |
| 2. | Before you begin to undress the toddler make sure you have everything you need within reach (including a clear path to the shower/tub in case of disaster. |
| 3. | It doesn't matter how many buckles, straps or other restraining devices your changing table might have, be prepared to use your entire body to keep the squirmy monster still. This is especially important in the case of poo. |
| 4. | Once the diaper is off it is important to move quickly, the object is to remove all the offending matter as quickly as possible. |
| 5. | Restrain hands and feet, if you don't inevitably one appendage or the other (or all) will end up in the poo. If this happens utilize your clear path to the tub as there is no ther wa to contain this mess. |
| 6. | Once the diaper is off and the bum is clean, send your little one on their way, dispose of the hazerdous waste, wash your hands and congratulate yourself on a job well done. Prepare for a repeat performance in a few hours. |
