With Halloween safety as a big concern, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) offers several Halloween safety tips to trick-or-treaters and parents.

  1. Children should wear light colored costumes and/or reflective tape
  2. Children should carry a flashlight or glow stick
  3. Children should be with an adult and/or travel in groups
  4. An adult should examine all treats
  5. Face make-up should be tested to check for eye irritation
