The Wall Street Journal just published a list of 127 NCAA football teams and ranked them according to which teams had the best home field records. It may surprise you not to find the likes of successful teams like Oregon, Alabama or The Ohio State University ( the first undisputed NCAA football champion in NCAA history) but instead many from some of the smaller conferences.. Topping the list is the North Texas Mean Green who are 39 and 1 in Apogee Stadium (pictured). Second, and no surprise to this Big Ten fan, is Wisconsin. Now the home field itself isn’t the only factor when determining home field advantage.. One has to assume that the quality of the officials, the crowd, and schedules would have something to do with it.
