At the 250th American Chemical Society meeting on Tuesday,researchers stated that more than 95 percent of lice populations tested had high levels of gene mutations. "What we found was that 104 out of the 109 lice populations we tested had high levels of gene mutations, which have been linked to resistance to pyrethroids," said Kyong Yoon, who conducted the research. Apparently, these lice are impervious to some of the most popular medical treatments aside from shaving one side of your head, setting fire to the other side and then trying to get them one at a time with an ice pick (that was a joke) scratch scratch scratch...
