Off the Beaten Path Things to See in Chicago
INTERESTING
Tags: chicago, travel, off the beaten path, bests
After you have been to Navy Pier, the Sears Tower and Lincoln Park Zoo try these off the beaten path places. Everything from the odd to the morbid. Enjoy!
| | The Museum of Mourning Photography- little known museum in Chicago and you need to make an appointment to visit, but I don't think there is another place quite like this out there. |
| | Leaning Tower of Niles- ok, this is just outside the city limits, but so worth the drive. You don't have to go all the way to Pisa, Italy to see the Leaning Tower, just come to Chicago. |
| | Check out the Hubbard Street Mural Project- Public art in Chicago at its best, you will have to walk it though. |
| | Osaka Japanese Gardens- little piece of paradise tucked just inside the shores of Lake Michigan, beautiful year round. |
| | International Museum of Surgical Science- the perfect way to round out a trip to the Mourning Photography Museum |
| | Hit the underground pedway- Life underground is so much more fun. |
| | Visit Grosse Point Lighthouse- the first and only one in Chicago |
| | Stare at the Elks Memorial- Its big, its grand, but no one ever goes in |
| | Visit the Vietnam War Museum- small, but interesting and vital to our history |
| | Bahai Temple- hands down the most beautiful place in the city. |
