For many years growning up I would see older people reminiscent about their "good old days" and the music that they listened to. For those that I'm specifically thinking of their time was the 50s. Well, now time has surely passed and I'm now one of those fossils that cling to their old music. It's true that there are some of the newer songs that I like but they're just not the same as those old 80s tunes that I grew up with. Here is a list of my favorites.
| | It's All Good - This quickly identifies me as an 80s guy just as any reference to Max Headroom |
| | Sweet Dreams ( are made of this) - Annie Lennox is much older now but is surely still great looking. |
| | Pump Up the Volume - A great tune with a good beat. Going for a bike ride or to workout? This is still a pumper upper. |
| | Pure Energy ( What's on Your Mind) - Information Society isbasically a one hit wonder but this still makes me think of Nimoy. |
| | Mr Roboto - A classic from Styx. Sure it's not the only but it's the best. |
| | Dirty Laundry - Eagles frontman Don Henley in his cynical description of media and our society. |
| | Time - Clock of the Heart - Boy George! Certainly an interesting fellow with a great voice. Too bad about the heroin problems but that's common among the super creative types. |
| | U Cant Touch This - Another Hammer classic. |
| | Freedom '90 - A song about coming out of the closet? Maybe. I'm not coming out of the closet and it's still one of my favs, |
| | Turn UP the Radio - Remember Autograph? Yeah, I know. Not many. I'm still a fan though |
| | Sledgehammer - One of many of Peter Gabriel's hits. Not so much of a fan with newer music though |
| | Big Time - A good song and a great music video |
| | Girls on Film - What ever happend to Duran Duran? |
| | Hungry Like the Wolf - DD's first hit and will always be on my fav list |
| | Mexican Radio - Another one hitter I believe. Good music video too. Makes me want to eat bbq iguana. |
| | Dance Hall Days - Old time music without screaming Jesus lyrics. |
| | Destination Unknown - Kinda new age for me but Missing Persons was a cool band. What's Dale Bosio doing nowdays? |
| | Rhythm Nation - Janet Jackson. Wow, good looking, a great dancer and a great tune. It appears that this talent runs in the family. |
