Better Food Choices

I am by no means a health nut or health expert. But I recently made some lower carb and lower fat changes that helped my body and weight and I want to pass them on.
| | 1. Take the side dish off of your plate. Most of them are carbs, fat and empty calories. |
| | 2. Make the vegetable part of the dish count. A really good stirfry or caserole with light cheese will keep you full and satisfied. |
| | 3. Add salads to your meals. Almost anything served on a bun can be served on a bed of greens. And except for croutons, any toppings go! |
| | 4. Watch for added carbs and sugars. You can keep a modest amount of fat in your salad dressings but watch out for those added carbs and sugars. That means more real blue cheese dressing. WooHoo! |
| | 5. Keep the fats to a resonable minimum. You can have a cheeseburger for lunch. Just use lower fat ground beef, put it over mixed greens, and have at it. |
| | 6. Have your latte!. A latte with flavored coffee beans (no flavored syrup) and splenda is a yummy low fat treat. Enjoy. |
