How to Rock the House at Karaoke

Here are some tip to have a great karaoke experience and keep the audience on its feet and having a great time!!! It's a whole lot more fun when you have people up on their feet singing along and dancing.
| | 1. Do not sing the same 2 or 3 songs each night. People want to hear something new and different when you get up to the mic. |
| | 2. Look around you. Try to sing songs that will appeal to the crowd instead of just what you like to sing. it's all well and good to sing your favorite song, but when the audience is bored, talking over you, ignoring you, falling asleep, etc., you won't really get the response you seek. It is so much more fun when you finish to wild applause!!! |
| | 3. Do not be afraid to have the DJ change the key of a song. Too many people make the mistake of singing a song that is out of range and it becomes painful to listen to. All famous artists have songs written in the right key for their voice. No one can sing EVERYTHING. Remember your are the "star" -- make sure your song is tailored to your range. |
| | 4. Most of all, have fun. Smile, bop around, do whatever you want -- the more fun the singer has, the more fun the audience has. |
