| | Bowled - an "out" by a pitch that hits the batter's sticks (like a strike-out) |
| | Bumper - ball that is hit high enough to hit batter's head or shoulders |
| | Bye - run scored on a wild pitch (like stealing a base) |
| | Country - name for the outfield |
| | Double Century - score of 200 or more runs by a single batter |
| | Fourer or Boundary - line drive that reaches the fence, counts as 4 runs |
| | Full Toss - pitch that reaches batter without hitting the ground |
| | Good Length - pitch that bounces just outside batter's maximum forward reach |
| | Googly - pitch similar to screwball but with reverse finger spin |
| | Hat Trick - getting 3 batters out in 3 consecutive pitches |
| | Maiden Over - set of 6 pitches delivered by a bowler in which no earned runs are scored |
| | Night Watchman - in games/matches lasting 2 days, a lower order batter sent in later in the evening to allow experienced batters time to rest |
| | Run Out - like a tag in baseball |
| | Sixer or Over Boundary - a hit over the fence without hitting the ground, counts as 6 runs |
| | Stonewall - similar to a stall in baseball, batter is only trying to prevent pitcher from hitting the sticks without attempting to score |
