Things to do to makeyour ATT tilt into the best it can be

The ATT Tilt is a close rival to the iphone. Contrary to popular belief it is actually manufactured by a Taiwanese company: HTC. The phone is also known under the alias of Kaiser,8925, and TyTn II. Here are some things to do to maximize the functionality of the phone.
| | 1. Flash the Rom |
| | When ATT gets their hands on the phone the first thing they do is pile on the bloatwear and change the interface to something that they thing suits the phone better. It doesn't. Put the HTC Home ROM back on the phone and you'll be amazed by the navigational ease you'll recieve in return. |

| | 2. Tilt Keyboard fix |
| | Because the European keyboard is slightly varied from its American counterpart (symbols are in different locations) you'll need this fix after flashing the ROM. Extremely simple to do if you've already flashed the phone. |
| | 3. Buy a microSd card and start creating your own ring/txt tones. |
| | Once you purchase a memory card you can use your own mp3s to make any song a ring or txt ring. I use a program called Audacity to edit the clips to the length and portion of the song i want to use. Great personalization factor here. |
| | 4. Use a cooked rom, or create your own. |
| | On xda-developers.com there is a plethora of user created custom ROMs. Try em out and see what you like the best. If you're feeling frisky, you can create your own by combining others ROMs to your personal flavor. |
| | 5. GAMES |
| | download games from either ATT, online, or if youre an advanced user, d/l and install an emulator. There are good emulators out there for windows mobile phones for NES, SNES, and Sega genesis games. |
| | 6. Perform some registry edits. |
| | This is an extremely advanced step. You are actually able to go into the phone's registry and edit it to your liking. Examples that can be edited through the registry include but are not limited to disabling that AWFUL "message sent" notification after text messages and being able to use your mp3s as alarm tones. |

| | 7. Get google maps if you have internet, if not get a program to exploit that coveted GPS chip your phone contains. |
