Things I Learned in College
AMUSING
Tags: college, college life, university life
They say that most of what you learn in college doesn't come from the classrooms, so here's what my college experience has taught me thus far.
| 1. | College is the biggest waste of time and money that anyone has ever thought of. At least four years and $20,000 for a piece of paper. Great. |
| 2. | I don't know about everyone else, but no one ever told me that the majority of my teachers would be about 3 years older than I am. What the hell makes them qualified to teach?? |
| 3. | A lot of people have the perception that college students drink, party, and occasionally go to class. What most people don't know is that those kids have mommy and daddy paying for their tuition so they don't care if they graduate or not. The rest of us don't know the meaning of "party" because we're WORKING OUR ASSES OFF. |
| 4. | Even people who love to read will never want to pick up a book again after trudging through approximately 45 textbooks every year. |
| 5. | There will always be people who thrive on the kind of drama that surrounds pre-teens and it is inevitable that one of these people will be your roommate at some point. |
| 6. | We all know that there are some really odd smells in life, but none are half as bad as the ones that accompany dorm hall bathrooms. |
| 7. | It never fails that someone you knew in high school will show up when you're either drunk out of your mind on the one night you have free time or when you haven't showered in 4 days and are ready to rip your hair out from studying for exams. |
| 8. | Heart palpitations and ulcers are common ailments among college students who tend to procrastinate. |
| 9. | If you plagiarize even two words in any assignment, you will be tarred, feathered, and lined up in front of a firing squad. |
| 10. | It only takes about 2 weeks for you to start wondering why you didn't just go to truck driving school. |
