| 1. | He Stopped Loving Her Today - I think there's a general consensus out there that this is really the most depressing song ever written. Just try and listen to it without bawling. I dare you. |
| 2. | Whiskey Lullaby - A close second. People drink themselves to death. Tragic. |
| 3. | The Long Goodbye - Okay, so nobody dies in this one. Which is the only reason it is number three. If anyone has ever been in a doomed relationship that they just couldn't let go of, then this one is a definite tear jerker. |
| 4. | Let Him Fly - Right on the tail of # 3. Still pretty brutal. |
| 5. | I Will Always Love You - Not the Whitney Houston version. The original that plays in the movie while she is dancing with Costner. |
