Fourth of July Pet Safety Tips

Please follow these tips to protect your pet during Fourth of July festivities:

	Keep your pets indoors at home in a secure, quiet area. Never leave pets outside unattended, even in a fenced yard.
	Turn the radio or television on at normal levels to mimic typical household sounds.
	If you know that your pet is seriously distressed by loud noises like thunder, consult with your veterinarian in advance for ways to help alleviate the fear and anxiety your pet will experience during fireworks displays. Many natural plants and herbs promote a sense of calm and relaxation in animals as well as people.
	Make sure your pets are wearing identification tags so that if they do become lost, they can be returned promptly.
