If despite your best efforts you find yourself stuck in Columbus, GA here are a few things to look into that might keep you from passing out in your soup. Good luck. You'll need it.
| | Hollywood Connection - Probably your best bet for staying awake. Lots of stuff for kids and adults, but mostly kids. They've got a skate rink, movie theatre, arcade, miniature golf, bumper cars, a small rock climbing wall and a few other interesting rides. Its like Chuck-E-Cheese on steroids. |
| | Flatrock Park - Its pretty in spring and fall. Its pretty in the summer too but the heat is so oppressive you probably wouldn't notice. If you're there in the summer just stay in your well air-conditioned vehichle and park somewhere. |
| | The Sports Page - If it happens to be Friday or Saturday night they've got a pretty impressive karaoke gig set up. Believe it or not, there are actually some very talented people that show up here. |
| | The Riverwalk - Devistatingly boring but mildly attractive. If all else fails or you've exhausted what few entertainment resources there are available then take a lazy stroll along the Chattahochee River and have fun scanning its day-glo green/brown waters for mutant three-eyed fish and ducks with ears and toes. |
| | Last but not least, the one thing you will find in abundance here are places to eat and get drunk... some pretty good chinese buffets, Fountain City Coffee, a Dunkin' Doughnuts, Brewsters, Carraba's, Guthries, Ben and Jerry's, Atlanta Bread Company (the service has gone downhill in recent years), Olive Garden, Mediteranian Cafe, Cafe Amici (lousy service, snooty people and mediocre food), and just about every other chain resteraunt you can imagine. If all else fails, eat yourself to death. Good Luck! |
