Route 17 in New York between Middletown and Binghamton is one of the best drives I have been on in a long time. Here are some reasons why:

	There is a zone where you can't get any radio stations but there is a great diner in Roscoe.
	Lots of cops around Liberty so slow down.
	Claimed to be the prettiest state highway in terms of views
	Beautiful open views
	You follow a river much of the time,
	It’s an Eisenhower Scenic Highway.
	Not much to stop at really until you hit Binghamton, but when I was headed to school from NYC area, it was a nice road to travel.
	Very few cops too.
