Shows I Wish Were Still on TV
IMHO

Why do the good ones always get canceled, and the bad ones go on and on and on? Wake up, TV people! I will not watch new shows until you start makin' 'em as good as the old ones!
| | The Adventures of Sinbad- ok, so the CG was a little cheesy, but the characters were lovable, the plots were intriguing, and the humor was great. A fun fairytale for the kid in all of us. Why couldn't there be a third season? |
| | The Dresden Files- genuinely good mystery writing, a protagonist flawed enough to be intriguing, and decent special effects. This show had it all- where'd it go?? |
| | Firefly- the crew of Serenity had a better family dynamic than that of any actual TV "family". For a show with a limited budget, they made the stories interesting and had lots of variety. There was not a "formula" for plot lines. Each time you sat down to watch the show, you wondered what would happen. |
| | X-Men- the '90's cartoon was very true to Marvel's vision of the X-Men as both a group of characters and a vehicle for social commentary. |
| | X-Men: Evolution- probably the best ever version of the X-Men. The writers followed their own rules when it came to mutant powers, and there were few plot holes, something that's not often said about superhero shows. The characters were flawed and more real than most people in live-action shows set in the "real" world. |
| | The Storyteller- these enchanting tales were told with Jim Henson puppets, making The Storyteller a charming change from CG. |
