Tags: eggs, recipes, deviled eggs, boiled eggs, food
Some tips on the art, and it is an art, of boiling eggs
| 1. | Use OLD eggs.. at least a week or two after you have purchased them at the grocery. The older eggs will peel easier than fresh eggs. |
| 2. | Get the eggs out of the fridge and let them "warm" to room temperature before you boil them |
| 3. | Put eggs in sauce pan and add enough cold water to cover them |
| 4. | COVER and bring to a boil on high heat |
| 5. | Once at a boil turn heat off and remove pan from heat. |
| 6. | Let stand for 10 minutes in covered sauce pan |
| 7. | Pour off hot water and run Coldwater over the eggs and let them stay in the cold water for at least 10 minutes. A combination of ice and water works best. |
| 8. | Cracking the egg in multiple areas makes it easier to peel. |
