HOW TO
Tags: pascal, programming, books
First functional in 1970, the Pascal language was named after Blaise Pascal, a mathematician who created arguably the first computer. The language is now used throughout the world as a language to teach students new to programming. Here are some books to help you get started in pascal and programming in general.
| | Pascal Programming 2nd Edition - B.J. Holmes - A fairly new guide, published in 2003. |
| | Pascal Programming: A First Course - Noel Kalicharan - Programming for the complete beginner. |
| | Beginning Programming For Dummies - Wallace Wang - Not just Pascal, but helpful nonetheless. |
| | Pascal User Manual and Report: ISO Pascal Standard - Kathleen Jensen, Niklaus Wirth, A.B. Mickel , J.F. Miner - A very in depth guide that some consider to be the "definitive" Pascal guide and reference book. |
| | Oh! Pascal! - Doug Cooper - Published in 1993, this is a book that was made to be an easy read. Its great for learning Pascal but it has a twist... It actually has a sense of humor! Great for anyone who may have struggled with other guides. |
