Top 10 reasons chain restaurants are just poor dining choices
PROs/CONs
Tags: chain restaurants, dining
This is a list of reasons that chain restaurants or non-locally owned restaurants just do not measure up to the quality and personality of locally-owned restaurants.
| | They often employ people with no loyalty to the success or image of the restaurant. |
| | Their profits go to a corporate headquarters with no interest in improving the local economy. |
| | The food is unimaginatve and lacks creativity or local flavor. |
| | The ingredients used are highly processed and filled with preservatives. |
| | You will find the exact same dishes in every one of these restaurants and this is not a good thing. |
| | The wait staff is often unfamiliar with or apathetic about the food they are serving. |
| | The dishes are not prepared onsite. They are often frozen or ready made. |
| | They make ambiguous and misleading claims like freshly made or home baked. |
| | They drive independently-owned businesses out with their lower prices for poor quality products. |
| | The personality of the area disappears with these cookie-cutter offerings. |
