5 things to avoid in Barcelona
Do's/Don'ts
Tags: barcelona, avoid, tourist, traps, travel, vacation, europe, spain
Barcelona is full of tourist traps. Don't be a victim of these.
| | Las Ramblas - Though world famous, Las Ramblas isn’t necessarily everything it’s cracked up to be. If once-upon-a-time it’s where the locals went to buy their pets, it’s little more than a circus of on-lookers and over priced sangria these days. |
| | It may seem like the perfect place to stop for a drink, but the over-bearing and over-priced cafes along the Paseo de Joan de Borbo leading up to the Barceloneta beach are best to avoid. |
| | The Raval is a neighborhood that’s becoming ever-more popular, but there are certain areas that are better not to visit. You may be subject to a robbery. |
| | Don’t get robbed! Even the most unassuming situation can be prove fateful if you’re not watching your wallet. Especially on the metro and down the Ramblas. |
| | Try to hit the better-known museums, such as the Picasso, during the week. You’ll miss the crowds and have more time to contemplate his ingenious strokes and use of color. |
