Fantasy, Dragons and Magic ... OH MY!
ENTERTAINING
Tags: fantasy, dragons, magic, elves, dwarves, dwarf, elven, castles, creatures, mystical, mythical, legend
This is a list of books and authors comprising of my most favorite book genre in the world ... Fantasy. I hope you enjoy this!
| | J.R.R. Tolkien - The Hobbit - This was the book that started it all. It was the book that started the slew of book series that transported your imagination to Middle Earth. You can not talk about fantasy books and not bring up the father of all fantasy books as well as authors. |
| | Tad Williams - The Dragonbone Chair (of the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn trilogy) - The first volume of three, The Dragonbone Chair introduces readers to the land of Osten Ard, its history and mysteries, and the major players in the conflict that threatens to unleash an ancient evil upon the inhabitants, both human and nonhuman, of Osten Ard. |
| | Roger Zelanzy - The Chronicles of Amber (The whole series) - This book series consists of two story arcs, each five novels in length. Additionally, there are a number of Amber short stories and other works. The series is so popular it inspired a roleplaying game. |
| | George R.R. Martin - The Song of Ice and Fire Series - This book series has also inspired a card role playing game. It has become of my absolute favorites in the history of all fantasy book series. |
| | Raymond Feist - Prince of the Blood - I love in this book of how the King forces his sons to grow up. |

Oh but with so many fantasy books to choose from ... we only have featured the most-read books? I was truly hoping to see something novel (no pun intended!) and unique, hopefully something not read yet. We're all entitled to our opinions (:-)), but the list would be more thorough/enjoyable with some diversity. Comment by: stormdancer753
