Top 10 Gifts For Young Children With Autism
INFORMATIVE
Tags: gifts, Christmas, holy day, holiday, autism, autistic children, kids
Ideas for gifts that would be beneficial for children with Austism. This list is based on what my son enjoys, not what a specialist might recommend.
| | Dolls - such as Superhero action figures or Barbie type dolls |
| | Puzzles - wooden puzzles with names associated with them are great like a picture of a butterfly and then the word butterfly. Regular cardboard puzzles don't last too long |
| | Crayons or Chalk - great to use outside on the sidewalk |
| | Wii or Wii games that promote physical activities or movement and hand eye coordination |
| | VeggieTales DVDs - Lord of the Beans, Bad Apple or the Greatest Silly Song collections |
| | Play food or cooking station - my son likes to pretend to cook and feed the food to you while making eating noises |
| | Dance music CDs - I usually make my own but I also use the DVR to record favorite songs from NickJr. The Backyardigans are a favorite. |
| | Computer games - VeggieTales and Tetris are a few of his favorites and can be purchased and downloaded from the Internet |
| | Computer blocking program that keeps child off of YouTube and Ebay!!! - NetNanny is a good one and there is also a great Christian browser, but I don't recall the name. |
| | Paints or PlayDoh - just keep an extra good eye on them |
