| | Battery-operated heated socks - great for that fellow with poor circulation and cold feet! |
| | Lap Desk - you can even MAKE this one with a pillow , pillowcase and a cutting board, but he'll love it! |
| | Heated Mattress Pad - guaranteed to make your old fella comfortable at night! |
| | Throw with sleeves - these are great for the chair-bound! Keep covered yet be able to use your hands. |
| | Alcohol - not good for everyone, but my dad loves a good bottle of Black Velvet. |
| | Company Coupon - ok, this is a tough one. Make up a coupon good for your time. That's right, your time. Anywhere from a half hour to a half day, sometimes they just like to spend time with you! |
| | Day Trip Coupon - Give them the opportunity to be taken to the location of their choice for a "day". My dad likes to go to the local American Legion for a drink, but your older fella might like a trip to the doctor or grocery store. Remember, it's hard for those folks to get around. |
| | Food - everybody likes to eat! Just remember to check on special diet restrictions first. How about gourmet nuts or decadent chocolate? |
| | Vibrating slippers - something my dad enjoyed for a few days after Christmas, but was more fun for me after that! |
