1.	Radiohead - Kid A (phenomenal marriage of glitchy sounds and conventional guitar rock)
2.	Sigur Ros - Takk (brought ambient sounds and icelandic jingles into the mainstream)
3.	Converge - You Fail Me (unlike Jane Doe, this record took even Converge's signature hardcore sound to a whole new level)
4.	TV on the Radio - Dear, Science (this record may have cemented TV on the Radio as America's best modern rock band)
5.	Broken Social Scene - You Forgot It In The People (took the jam element of the 70's and brought it into the indie mainstream)
