This is a short list of some of my favorite places I've found in Astoria. Some are take-outs, some are bars, some are bagel stores, but they're all local to Astoria-and I love them all!
| | Cafe Bar-3290 36TH St: This place has a great atmosphere and really great food from salads to sandwiches. |
| | Locale-http://www.localeastoria.com This place is a cozy spot with an upscale vibe to it. Wonderful Italian food and a quiet environment. |
| | Brooklyn Bagel-One on Broadway and one on Ditmars-b far the best bagel I've ever had--they're HUGE! |
| | Pita Hot-otherwise knows as Jerusalem Cafe-Locate on 30th Ave and Crescent St. This place has amazing falafel and the sevice is great. It's a little hole in the wall. My favorite is the chicken kabob platter! |
| | The Fruit Stands on 30th Ave and 32nd Street--I love these fruit and veggie markets-there are two right next to each other and they are real cheap and everything is great! |

| | Cup Cafe-on 35th Street. this is my favorite place to take out of towners for brunch. It's a big space with great food. |
| | Seva-http://www.sevaindianrestaurant.com This is a fairly new Indian spot off 30th Ave. It's great! The Okra dish is amazing. |
| | The Beer Garden. This is the obvious Astoria Spot. Has some good food as well as great beer! |
