Newburgh has lots of great restaurants, and I've tried them all. These are the five best,
| | Cosimo's. This pizza and pasta restaurant is one of my favorites anywhere. The four cheese pizza is my favorite, but everything from appetizers to pasta is first rate. |
| | Il Cenacola. The standard fare here is just pretty good, but that isn't the point. If you're adventurous, the menu is very long and includes all kinds of dishes you've never heard of before. |
| | Schlesinger's Steakhouse. I've never heard of someone going there and coming back disappointed. |
| | Cafe Pitti. A little place with light italian fare, but it's right on the Hudson and beautiful in the summer with a glass of red wine and a cheese plate. |
