Top four rules to never break when Sleep training.
Do's/Don'ts

If you are curious to how I manage to still have 5 year old children that nap, well it started when they were babies. We did sleep training, here are the five rules we stuck to.
| | The most important thing to remember is that you have to stick to a schedule, regardless of what is going on you will want to place your baby down for his or her nap at the same time every day and night. |
| | Routine, always follow the same routine at nap time and bed time, you can have different routines for each (one for nap and one for bed time) but you must always do the same routine every day. |
| | Consistency, always be consistent, do not vary from your routine or schedule, you should do the same thing every day. |
| | It is okay for special occasions to miss nap time, or delay bed time, however it is very important that you get back on schedule as soon as possible. |
| | Remember to always follow the cues of your child as well, they will let you know when it is time to drop a nap, or move bed time. However keep in mind that they will challenge you and may go a week or so without napping, but keep up your schedule and you will find that they still nap. |
