Movies that are "From Books" that are really too painful to watch
WORSTS
Tags: books to movies, movies, differences
You read the book and love it, you see the movie and you wonder if the script writers read the same book you did...
| 1. | Lord of the Rings: Although pretty well done, taking one character's part and giving it to another is just plain mean. |
| 2. | Prince Caspian: Adding in a full 15 minute scene that wasn't even in the book is just wrong. And adding in a love interest is going too far. |
| 3. | The Golden Compass: I loved the book- I was waiting for the movie to come out for years! Then watching the movie I almost fell asleep. Rearranging the order of events in a book is a no-no, the author wanted it that way for a reason! |
| 4. | The Phantom of the Opera: First a book, then a musical, then a movie. I love the movie of it- but it is nothing at all like the book. I think it just happens to have the same name, the same plot, the same basic idea...but not the same thing at all. |
