This is a list about the "Top 10" interesting spots in the Kansas City Metro Area for the 20-30 age group. And, believe me, they are all a blast...

1. The Record Bar at 43rd and Westport Road in Kansas City, MO offers live music or live DJs nightly. They have an incredible gourmet menu that includes wonders like house-made red-pepper hummus, Bat Out of Hell Meatloaf, and delectable burgers. The walls are lined with records and the music leans toward the indie-rock flavour. Permanent installments are a few pinball machines and an old-fashioned, four-frame photo booth.
2. The Fox and the Hound at 103rd and Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, KS sports nearly fifty beers on tap, pool tables galore, and darts as well as in-table checkers. With a massive bar and to-die-for bar-style food as well as Tuesday Pint Night and an extensive cigar menu, the Fox and the Hound is a great spot for anyone 21 and over.
3. The Kona Grill on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, MO, is an absolute blast. Serving some of the finest sushi in KC with phenomenal Happy Hour specials, including half price appetizers, $2 sushi, and drink specials, the Kona is, hands down, one of the most fun places to hang out on the Plaza.
4. To continue naming fun places on the Plaza in KC, MO, The Grand Faloon offers many beers on tap, some of the best margaritas in town, darts and spacious seating with live music to boot on many nights. The bartenders and wait staff are some of the friendliest in town and the atmosphere is loud and filled with fun.
5. Yet another hot spot on the Country Club Plaza is Tomfooleries. Though it is a chain, this particular Tomfooleries kicks it up a notch with ice-cold martinis, delicious appetizers, phenomenal Happy Hour specials with Bar Entrees of $1-$5. The atmosphere is a-buzz with people with live music on many nights, two stories of bar space with vibrant and interesting decor, and speedy and accurate service.
6. A favorite stop after the bars in the Westport area of Kansas City, MO, is Chubby's. Chubby's is an old-fashioned diner, serving greasy, salty, delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner 24 hours a day. One of the best cheeseburgers in town, an eclectic grouping of customers, and friendly service make this after-bar gathering place stand out in the crowd.
7. Coach's on 103rd and State Line in Kansas City, MO, is a favorite hang-out spot for the 20's to 30's crowd due to the 3 am closing time, trivia nights run by Extreme Trivia, amazing beer selection, and post-midnight specials. The expansive bar and pool tables, as well as newly refinished smoking patio, are open and inviting: a great spot to make or take a friend.
8. McCoy's in the Westport area of Kansas City, MO is a microbrewery of outstanding proportions. Their Raspberry Ale and house-made Bavarian pretzels are to die for. Their lengthy cigar menu and large variety of liquors as well as Karaoke nights make the bar a worth-while stopping spot for an evening of fun. The location is perfect, as it is within walking distance of many MANY other great late-night spots.
9. Missy B's in Westport is a great time. Technically tagged as a "gay" bar, it is, nonetheless, fun for people of any orientation. With great drink specials, wild dancing, and friendly, flirty wait staff, Missy B's is the ultimate in night life.
10. The Mint Lounge in Kansas City, MO utilizes the lounge feel with spacious open areas for dancing. The decor is beautiful with a keen eye to textures, raised couches, and sparkling glassware. They sport a very knowledgable bar staff and music ranging from techno and house to disco and R&B. Every night at the Mint Lounge is a night worth remembering.
