If you're a foodie who wants to maximize his love affair with food during this lifetime, check out the following bucket list.

  •
  • Watch a taping of a cooking show. If it is too hard for you to get into Rachel Ray's "30-Minute Meals" and other popular shows, culinary shows produced by your local TV station might be more accessible.
  •
  • Prepare a special meal from scratch for your favorite person in the world.
  •
  • Take some cooking classes in your local community center. If you have the budget, you may even enroll for a short course in a culinary academy.
  •
  • Join a food tour of eating places of interest in your city or town. If a food tour is not available where you live, make up one yourself. You can play host to a bunch of friends and tour them to your favorite foodie spots, whether they be hole-in-the walls or fancy restaurants.
  •
  • Compile all your favorite recipes in a your own personal recipe book for posterity. If you want to make it a family affair, collect recipes from your close family members as well.
  •
  • Take a tour of a factory or a restaurant's kitchen where your favorite food is made, such as a candy factory or a burger chain. Some food companies open their factories or kitchens to the public during certain periods.
  •
  • Learn to make at least one traditional dish from each continent in the world, such as Asia, Europe, and Africa.
  •
  • Grow your own herbs for cooking. Even if you don't have a backyard, you can still have an indoor herbal garden since some stores sell small herb-growing kits which you can set up inside the house.
  •
  • Write an essay about your ultimate eating experience. If you want to, you may also submit it to a food magazine or a food blog.
  •
  • Save up those pennies and eat out at your dream fine dining restaurant. If you're more into casual dining, that's okay too. Whatever tickles your fancy.
