Original ways for an audiophile to organize their music library
TIPS

If your bored with the standard artist/album organization technique for your digital music library, I have acquired some original classification techniques to maximize musical enjoyment.
| | "Date Added" - If your someone who downloads a lot of new music constantly, this method helps put your new music up front. Then, you become less overwhelmed by the multitude of new tracks, and give the new tuneage some respect. |
| | year/month - Since the genre category can be biased or grossly incorrect, I instead use this section for year/month organization. The year & month, being the year & month I most listened to a particular song. It provides both an excellent historical timeline, and when that song eventually becomes overplayed, I can go back and find something I love, but have not listened to for awhile, later. |
| | Associations- Once again, instead of the genre section, why not mark songs by associations? i.e. family, love, sports, high school, etc. This method is much more personal and accurate. |
| | "saw live"- Unless you like to scientifically analyze your music, the comment section may seem useless. Yet, every song I have seen in concert I type "saw live" in the concert box. If it is typed exactly the same way every time, you may hit the comment bar, and every song you have heard live will be grouped together. Then you have your own personally recreated concert experience(s). |
| | play count - If you really love music, you need to make sure you organize by this option at least once. By attempting to listen to everything that has been as yet ignored, you'll discover some new and wonderful things, as well as be able to streamline your library by getting rid of what you don't like. |
