7 Ways to Cut Grocery Bill
INFORMATIVE
Tags: savings, money, coupons, grocery bills
We are all trying to find ways to save on our grocery bills. Here are seven ways that you can cut the costs.
| 1. | Use coupons. Always buy the smallest package that is allowed on the coupon. This creates a larger savings per unit. |
| 2. | Look for double or triple coupon days. Grocery stores generally run these mid week when shopping numbers are lowest. |
| 3. | Compare brands and quantities. Off brands are not always the best deal because they are of smaller sizes. |
| 4. | Check the bang and dent shelf. You will find plenty of good food here that is not in pretty packaging. But you get the product at a high percentage off. |
| 5. | Shop late in the evening if possible. Meat and other fresh deli and bakery products will be reduced. Many of them have not expired but will within 48 hours and you can get steep discounts on these items. |
| 6. | Always read the sales papers. Loss leaders are on the front of the sales paper and the items are discounted a lot to bring you in the store. Many of these items will also have been in the newspaper coupon section the previous week. You can really rack up the savings here. |
| 7. | Sales Papers part 2 – Compare items from different stores carefully and look for price matching programs. Many supermarkets will price match sales items from other stores so that you will do all your shopping at theirs. |
