Charles F. Rosenay aka Cryptmaster Chiller Chucky is Examiner.com's Horror Happenings Examiner.. He has compiled the top ten horror films as rated by Ian Lloyd. Ian Lloyd's band The Stories had a #1 hit with this song "Brother Louie" in 1973. Remember "she was black as the night"
Below are the first 5 of Ian's list of 10. The rest along with links to the movies can be found by clicking on the Source link below...
| 1. | "Night Of The Living Dead" (original 1968 B&W) Still have trouble watching this movie. It's that Scary! |
| 2. | "Invasion Of The Body Snatchers" (1956 B&W) "They're Here Already" echoes in my head. Kevin McCarthy's defining moment [for me] on this classic. |
| 3. | "Motel Hell" (1980) Rory Calhoun on his tractor is etched in my memory cells forever! Breakfast sausages anyone? So scary there is a remake coming in 2010, which probably won't be as frightening. [Oh well, we can always hope]. |
| 4. | "Nightmare on Elm Street" [1984] Freddy Kruger's coming out party. After seeing this film I vowed never to fall asleep again. |
| 5. | Aliens" [1979 ] Sigourney Weaver is sooo hot! A must see on the BIG screen. You can never have too many Aliens. |
