There are things I never thought I would say in my life, not even as a parent. However, there were many times in which I said the improbable to prevent kids from doing what I once thought was impossible.

| | • Play-doh made to look like food is still not food. |
| | • Mud pies are not real pies. Do not put your tongue on it. |
| | • Keep your pants on does mean keep your pants on, but that doesn’t mean you have to put on another pair. |
| | • I said not to jump on your bed so you don’t get hurt. If you can’t jump on your bed, you can’t march on it, either. |
| | • Don’t kick your brother means don’t put your foot on him or your heel or your toe. |
| | • Don’t touch that means don’t touch it with your hand OR your foot OR your toys. |
| | • When you’re touching a power outlet, I don’t have to count to three. |
| | • What does dangerous mean? It means “no-no”. Well, it’s actually a super-big no-no. |
