Treating Sport Injuries with “RICE”

If your sprain or strain doesn’t require a doctor’s immediate care, then you might benefit from the following “RICE” treatment:
| | Rest and don’t use the injured area for 48 hours |
| | Ice placed ice on injury for 20 minutes, 4 to 8 times per day |
| | Compression by using bandages to reduce swelling |
| | Elevation of the injured area raised above the heart |
