top 15 NBA Centers of all time
| | 1.Wilt Chamberlain |
| | No matter the decade or the era he plaed in anyone who averages 50.4 points and 25.7 rebounds per game in a single season deserves this number one spot. Chamberlain was the most physiacally amazing player ever (with Shaq and LeBron right behind). 100 points in a game.....enough said |
| | |
| | 2.Kareem Abdul-Jabbar |
| | He is first all-time in total points with 38,387, third all-time in total rebounds with 17,440, third all-time in total blocked shots with 3,189 and even 33rd all-time in total assists with 5,660. His sky-hook is the most beatiful shot in NBA history and they usually went in with his amazing 55.9 percent from the field |
| | 3.Shaquille O'Neal |
| | I do have a very hard time putting Shaq above the Russell and Olajuwon but honestly, Shaq could wipe the floor with these guys in his prime. Though Shaq may not have the longevity as Kareem, his dominance in the 90's and early 2000's makes him number three on this list |
| | 4.Hakeem Olajuwon |
| | Offensively, he averaged 21.8 points, 11.1 rebounds and shot 51.2 percent from the field. Defensively, he was also great with career averages of 3.1 blocks and 1.7 steals. He ranks first all-time in career blocked shots with a total of 3830, and he somehow is eighth all time in total steals with 2162. The most complete big man on list list? I think so. |
| | 5. Bill Russell |
| | I cant give any defense of stats for Russell because they didnt record them back then but its safe too asume he would have been the carrer leader in blocks and up there with rebounds. He was the only human on the planet that could play defense on Wilt. To some peoples surprise he acually played offense too, he averaged 15.1 points, 22.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in his career. |
| | 6.Moses Malone |
| | Malone was not the most phisicaly gifted player on list. That is why he is often overlooked when it comes to great big men. In his twenty-year career, he had averages of 20.6 points, 12.2 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game. He also racked up three MVP tophies in his career with the Sixers. |
| | 7.David Robinson |
| | Robinson was one of the best offensive and defensive centers of all time. In a 14-year career, he had averages of 21.1 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.4 steals, and three blocks per game. He also shot a very good 51.8 percent from the field. |
| | 8.Partick Ewing |
| | 9.Bill Walton |
| | 10.Willis Reed |
| | 11.George Mikan |
| | 12.Artis Gilmore |
| | 13.Robert Parish |
| | 14.Bob Lanier |
| | 15.Alonzo Mourning |
