How to Winterize Your Garden

These are some helpful tips on prepare your garden for the nasty weather that winter brings with it.
| | Water your trees until the ground freezes |
| | Transplant shrubs or small tress |
| | Rake up fallen leaves each week, because grass still needs sunlight |
| | Consider shredding fall leaves to use as mulch |
| | Spray your lawn weeds in the month of October |
| | Apply winterizing lawn fertilizer |
| | Do a last weeding |
| | Put plastic or mesh wire around the slender trunks of trees |
| | Pull out any last frosted annuals |
| | Plant spring flowering blubs before the ground freezes |
| | Apply a layer of winter mulch to perennial beds once the ground freezes |
