Here are ten of the best Thanksgiving TV episodes ever! Can you think of any more?

1. WKRP in Cincinnati - Les Nessman and the WKRP "Turkey Drop" - not really a tryptophan reference, but the funniest Thanksgiving TV episode of all-time
2. Friends - "It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Chandler bumming us out," says Joey, which kicks off a delicious series of flashbacks that include Phoebe's past-life memory, Joey with a turkey stuck on his head, Rachel pre-and post-nose job, Monica pre- and post-weight loss, Chandler and Ross's 'Miami Vice' clothes and Chandler's Flock of Seagulls haircut, Monica accidentally chopping off Chandler's toe, Monica dancing with a raw turkey on her head and, last, but certainly not least, Chandler telling Monica for the first time that he loves her. There were so many truly great 'Friends' Thanksgiving episodes -- remember Brad Pitt, Rachel's beef trifle and Chandler in a box? -- but this one is the tops, not only for the aforementioned reasons, but because 'Gilmore Girls' weirdo Taylor Doose (actor Michael Winters) plays the emergency room doc, and also because of these quotes (can you remember who said what?): "More turkey, Mr. Chandler?" "A guy's thing is not called his 'tenderness' ... b
3. Seinfeld - In U.S. TV show an episode of Seinfeld, Jerry and George use turkey and boxed wine to cause Jerry's girlfriend to fall asleep so they can play with her extensive antique toy collection. When Jerry's girlfriend asks what is it in turkey that makes people drowsy, Jerry and George immediately and simultaneously respond "Tryptophan"!
4. How I Met Your Mother - As Marshall and Lily prepare to host their first Thanksgiving as husband and wife, Barney eyes Marshall's Slap Bet Countdown Clock website with dread. Marshall has a gift for everyone. Marshall warns Barney that the third slap in their "slap bet" will be coming on Thanksgiving night. Meanwhile, Ted and Robin sleep together on the night before Thanksgiving.
5. The Sopranos - On April 15, 2001, yeh, yeh, was a Thanksgiving episode in April, but 'The Sopranos' always marched on its own schedule, so let's get past that. The best moment of this T-Day-themed installment occurred at Tony and Carmela's holiday dinner table, at which sister Janice was seated, along with Aaron, the latest schmucky boyfriend she'd dragged home. Aaron, we learn, is narcoleptic, and he falls asleep mid-meal. He wakes up when the doorbell at Casa Soprano rings, and Jackie April Jr. appears in the dining room. Upon being introduced to Jackie, Aaron looks up and asks, "Have you heard the news? He is risen," providing not only a memorable 'Sopranos' quote, but also the episode's title. In other Thanksgiving happenings: After discussing leftover turkey sandwiches with his crew, stressed out capo Gigi Cestone takes a trip to the bathroom, where, as Tony points out, he dies like "how Elvis went."
6. The Cosby Show - Dr. Heathcliff Huxtable had reason to be upset in this season six episode, in which he is sent out to the store -- four times! -- to purchase ingredients Clair needs to prepare the family's Thanksgiving dinner. She had planned to make cornbread ... but forgot eggs. She wanted to whip up eggnog ... but forgot nutmeg (actually, she just demanded fresh nutmeg, because she already had jarred spice in the kitchen). And she wanted to make a pumpkin pie ... but forgot the canned pumpkin.
7. So Cliff had to go out to the store, four times (the eggs he bought on the third trip broke), in a fierce rainstorm, only to finally return home and find the fam at the table, and hot cornbread waiting. Claire had borrowed eggs from a neighbor, and in one final bit of Turkey Day injustice, Cliff opened the door to put his drenched clothing outside, only to be met with sunshine.
8. Dark Angel - In James Cameron's TV series Dark Angel, genetically engineered Max Guevara and the other escaped X-5s need to take tryptophan supplements to control their seizures, which were the result of a faulty gene.
9. Reno 911 - In the U.S. TV series Reno 911!, the faux-information documentary "Keeping it Real, Real Safe" claims that tryptophan is as dangerous as alcohol when it comes to driving.
10. Psycho Therapy - In the episode "Psycho Therapy" of the MTV animated series Daria, Daria tells her father Jake of tryptophan in milk and its calming influences. This serves as a running gag through the episode.
11. Titus - In the U.S. TV series "Titus", Christopher Titus believed it was tryptophan that caused sleepiness during a turkey dinner. It was in fact the bottle of antidepressants his mother put in their food.
12. Home Improvement - The episode opens with a usual "Tool Time" salute, this one is to lefties. At Thanksgiving dinner with the Taylors, Wilson announces he is moving, but Tim gives him advice in the hopes Wilson will decide to stay. Buit the real entertainment comes when Tim finds out there is a snake loose in the house, and has to "man up" to get rid of it.
13. Benie Mac Show - On the Bernie Mac Show titled "Tryptophan-tasy" - an undercooked Thanksgiving turkey gives Bernie food poisoning. When he tries to sleep it off, bad dreams occur.
