Tags: January 25, history, news, current events, Opposite Day

January 25 is the 25th day of the year in the Gregorian calendar. There are 340 days remaining (341 in leap years). It is also known as Opposite Day, a fictitious holiday, when one must do everything in the opposite way. Expressing the fact that it is currently Opposite Day is rather difficult, as "it's Opposite Day" is always a false statement, and "it isn't Opposite Day" is always true. Thus, the holiday can serve as a child's first introduction to the Liar paradox.
