The Ohio State Buckeyes have had six head football coaches who were once assistant coaches at Ohio State. The newest, Luke Fickell, was an assistant for 8 years before being named this year. Here's the whole list:

	Earle Bruce (Assistant Coach from 1966 to 1972
	Wes Fesler (Assistant 1931 - 1932)
	Luke Fickell (Assistant 2002 -2010)
	Jim Tressell (Assistant 1983 - 1985)
	Caroll Widdoes (Assistant 1941 - 43 and 1946 - 48)
	Samuel Willaman (Assistant 1926 -28)
