Angelica roots are used for the treatment of Typhus disease.

Typhus disease can be cured by this method. Pour a quart of boiling water upon 6 oz. of Angelica root cut up in thin slices, 4 oz. of honey, the juice of 2 lemons and 1/2 gill of brandy. Infuse for half an hour.
