Treatment approaches vary from visual stimulation to special diets to enhanced reading instruction. However, it is generally agreed that customized education is the only successful remedy.
| | The treatment for reading disorder mainly involves putting the student into a program with an emphasis on remedial or corrective reading instruction. Usually the extra help in reading is supplied to the student through reading resource classrooms in school, small class size, or individual tutoring. |
| | Special education services may include specialist help, individualized tutoring, or special day classes. Every individual has different requirements and an Individual Education Plan should be created for each child. Positive reinforcement is important as many students with learning disabilities have poor self-esteem. Psychological counseling may be helpful. |
