How to Creat a Bed Canopy Without Posts
HOW TO
Tags: Bed Canopy, Bed Posts, Four Poster Bed, Home Decor
Here's how to create a bed canopy to give the illusion of a "four post" look. This method can use long lengths of inexpensive fabric material.
| 1. | Make a small hole in the ceiling above the bed and a few inches out from each corner of the bed. This will allow the material to hang clear of the mattress. The holes should be large enough to hold a wall anchor securely. |
| 2. | Using a hammer, tap a wall anchor into each hole, then screw a hook into each anchor without over-tightening. |
| 3. | Hang curtain rings on each hook. |
| 4. | Starting with the first ring, knot the fabric to the ring using 1 piece of material (length), then drape across to the other ring and knot. |
| 5. | Using 1 short piece of material, knot the fabric to the ring and drape across (width) to the other ring and knot. |
| 6. | Repeat for the last two rings. |
| 7. | Using the vertical pieces of materials. Knot to each ring and allow to fall to floor creating a pool effect. |
