How to Remove a Stuck GE Washer Agitator

Are you having a hard time removing the agitator in your GE washer? Here's a technique to help you out.

1.	Fill the washer with hot water to cover the bottom half of the agitator.
2.	Get a piece of strong rope about 58 inches long. Tie a knot the way you see it on the picture.
3.	Place the rope around the agitator neck.
4.	Get a 5 ft long piece of 2x4 and put a folded towel underneath it to protect the finish on the washer top.
5.	Use the 2x4 as a lever. Putting pressure on the end of the piece of wood will lift the agitator out.
