How to Repair a Table Lamp With a Bent Harp

Below is how to repair the bent harp on your table lamp:
| 1. | Disconnect table lamp from electricity by unplugging from wall socket or extension cord. Allow light bulb to cool before removing for safety. |
| 2. | Remove finial from top of harp. Remove lampshade and set aside to avoid damage to shade. Replace finial to prevent loss. |
| 3. | Lift small brass caps at the base of the harp. Compress harp to release from lamp. |
| 4. | Examine base of harp. It is located below the lamp socket. If either arm of harp base is bent, gently re-shape without breaking. |
| 5. | Examine harp to determine if it has been bent. Re-shape harp by using two pair of plyers. |
| 6. | Replace properly shaped harp by compressing and repositioning into harp base. Assure that finial positions itself squarely at top of lamp. |
| 7. | Replace lamp shade and light bulb. Restore power. |
