Puppy's First Vet Visit
HOW TO
Tags:
Going to the Vet can be a traumatic experience for puppies, and no one wants to deal with a pet who is chronically afraid of going to the vet. Here are some ways to make sure that your puppy does not get freaked out on his first vet visit.
| | Walk your dog before you go to the vet |
| | If your dog is used to being in crates, keep him in the crate for both the ride to the vets and going into the office |
| | Have them on a leash so that they don't run if they get scared |
| | If your dog is aggressive with other dogs, notify the staff before you enter the office |
| | Stay with your dog in the examination room and talk to them in soothing tones |
| | Bring treats and let the vet give them to your puppy |
