Madden NFL Football Franchise Evolution

It seems as though every year the programmers at EA add a new aspect to their famous Madden NFL Football video game. Since 2003, that has been the case. Here are the updates that have revolutionized Madden for the last few years.
| | Madden 2003: Online play is introduced, as well as mini-camp gameplay mode. |
| | Madden 2004: Madden is made compatible with XBox Live. Playmaker controls are introduced in which the right analog stick can be used to direct blockers or make pre-snap adjustments. |
| | Madden 2005: Hit stick is introduced. Defenders can use the right analog stick to put a hard hit on the ball-carrier, increasing the likelihood of a fumble. |
| | Madden 2006: Truck stick is introduced, which runner can use to lower his shoulder and hit the prospective tackler, increasing the likelihood of a broken tackle. QB vision is introduced. In this update, the quarterback has a highlighted cone of vision in which his passes are more accurate. |
| | Madden 2007: Lead blocker controls and highlight stick are introduced. Players can switch to a lead blocker before the snap to control him during the play. Highlight stick (similar to truck stick) makes a move which increases the likelihood of juking out of or breaking a tackle. |
