How to Get Your Girlfriend's Dad to Trust You

If your girlfriend's father trusts you it can make your relationship a lot easier. Here is how you can get your girlfriend's dad to trust you.
| 1. | Talk to your girl about her dad. Ask basic questions like "What's your dad's job?" or "Is your dad interested in sports?" Out of that, make little notes to yourself. |
| 2. | Get together with her dad. Get to know him. Do a little bit of friendly conversation him and talk to him with what you got out of the notes like "How about them Phillie's?". Tell him about how beautiful his daughter is, but not too much. He might think sex is the only thing on your mind. |
| 3. | Observe him. If he starts getting agitated, go with a lighter talk. |
| 4. | Make sure you act like a guy without acting like a guy. Talk about your friends and some pranks they do. If he is allowing you to date her, don't act corny. Act sensitive to somethings, but don't act corny. One of the last things a father wants to happen to his daughter is that her boyfriend became corny. |
| 5. | Have dinner with her family. Sit close to her parents, but closer to her. Be careful with your conversation. Don't be rude. If you don't like the food, don't make stupid excuses to get out of eating it. Either doctor the truth or eat the food and don't make sour faces. If it's disrespectful to the cook, it's disrespectful to the family. |
| 6. | Let them have dinner with your family. Act as if you feel comfortable with both families(more so to your family). Don't bring someone in your family to the table that you know will do something uncomfortable to your girlfriend's family. Have table manners "Pass the potatoes, please" "Thank you" "You're welcome" "Excuse me". You should gain trust with their entire family. |
| 7. | Don't try to make pointless small talk. Try to get to know your girlfriend's dad, not learn about the weather. |
