  •
  • Romans 5:6-8 - You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us - No one in their right mind dies for the ungodly, the unsaved, the ones who worshipped false idols. But God gave us a chance to save ourselves, through His son, who had to suffer a tremendous deal just for some people that might not even follow Him. But this action was taken in the hopes that one day we may all realize the true glory of His actions.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your request to God. And the peacec of God which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus. - Important because this gives us hope in difficult time concerning the faithfulness of God; also telling us that the faithfulness of God does not depend of the circumstances that we are living, he is faithful at ALL times!

  • Psalms 37.4+5 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. •

  •
  • Deuteronomy 16:20 "Justice, justice, shalt thou pursue."
  •
  • The guidelines of the Ten Commandments speak to the basic need to treat other persons, their property justly and fairly and with righteousness. The establishment of courts of justice underscores the responsibility of the society as a whole to enforce these basic laws governing the relationships among individuals.
  •
  • Amos 5:15 "Hate evil and love good, and establish justice in the gate."
  •
  • Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
  •
  • This verse states that we have a creator. The heavens and earth did not form from a blast of subatomic particles.
  •
  • John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son and whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
  •
  • John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrightousness."
  •
  • Matthew 5:17 identifies Jesus as the promised Messiah. It also makes the Old Testament relevant even today because He says specifically, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but fulfill."
  •
  • The fact that He was come to fulfill the law makes him the promised savior in Genesis 3:15. This verse also negates the argument by many modern Christians (and quite possibly Jews) that the Old Testament laws do not apply. In fact, all throughout His ministry, Jesus continually expounded on the Old Testament laws and clarified them for us.
  •
  • Luke 1:37 speaks of God's omnipotence. It reassures all believers that God is able to do anything according to His purpose - even when we do not believe it can happen.
  •
  • II Chronicles 15:2 brings home the need for a right relationship with God. It reassures believers that as long as they seek God and be with Him and not forsake Him that God will be found by them and He will not leave them hanging out on a limb - no matter what they are going through. It is this promise from God that He will never desert His people that keeps believers going through the good and bad parts of life.
  •
  • Corinthians Chapter 13 - "Love is patient and kind..." I think this is important to everyone - of all faiths. If people could exude this type of love for everyone, wars, poverty, and all types of bad things would not happen.
  •
  • Psalm 23 - "The lord is my sheperd..." I think this is so critical, bcause it is peaceful and calming. When times are hard, it is comforting and reassuring.
  •
  • Exodus (not sure of verse number, could look up) - The 10 commandments. This is what all of Western society laws are founded on. If people would honestly follow them, our society would be such a better place"
  •
  • Romans 10:8-10 - Leads people into salvation.
  •
  • Genesis 1:1 - 28 - Teaches how God created the earth and man, and gave man his mission: to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and dominate.
  •
  • St. Mathew 27:50-53 - Shows the power of Jesus' death on the cross. It conquered death, and many of the dead saints arose from their graves and appeared to people in the city.
