Boys and girls really can be just friends but sometimes others don't see that. Here is how to repond when asked about dating a friend.
| 1. | Don't take other people's comments on your friendship as insults. Just think of it as you two having so much in common and that's why you guys are best friends. |
| 2. | Consider the possibility of a romantic relationship. It doesn't really hurt to think of the topic because maybe he or she is the right one. |
| 3. | Try explaining it to all the people who commented that you don't want to ruin a friendship and aren't really interested (if it's true (which, let's face it, it isn't)). |
| 4. | Go along with it, like saying, "of course we look good together, best buds always do!" or something along those lines. |
| 5. | Smile, and say, "I guess that's why we're such great friends!" Continue to smile for a few more moments while the questioner looks skeptically at you. Then, quaver your upper lip slightly and burst into agonized weeping. Look up at the sky and shriek "Dear God, why can't she love me?" As the questioner awkwardly tries to console you or walk away, fling yourself to the ground, curl up into the fetal position and whimper. |
